Mrs. Karla graduated from FEU Roosevelt in the Philippines and has taught in the Philippines, Singapore, Dubai, Thailand, and the United States. This is her second year teaching 4th grade at Oakley Elementary! She has three children and a sweet puppy named Nox. Outside of school, she enjoys sleeping, cleaning, and nurturing her family. Her dream field trip would take students to Dubai, UAE, and her favorite school tradition is Spirit Week. If she could meet any celebrity, she would choose Channing Tatum because she would love to see him dance like he did in Step Up. Skydiving and bungee jumping are both on her bucket list! Her advice to students is simple: “Choose kindness—it always finds its way back to you.” A fun fact about Mrs. Karla is that she raises her hand while sleeping—and even she doesn’t know why!
